About Me...

Background
Born and raised in a small suburb of New Orleans, I attended St. Rita School in Harahan, Rummel High School, and graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Forestry Management. Upon completion of college, I worked for Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry as an Inventory Forester where I cruised (surveyed) the vast rural woodlands of Louisiana’s southeast region. After two years I was offered a job with a leading Spatial Data Company here in New Orleans 3001, Inc. 3001, Inc. specializes in Digital Aerial Photography, Cartographic & Photogrammetric, LIDAR, Hydrographic Surveys, GIS/GPS Services generally catering to Federal, State, & Local Government Entities. Other clients include Oil/Gas, Engineering, and Law companies. In 2009, 3001, Inc. merged with Northrop Grumman Company. I am now classified in the Information System Sector preforming the same Geospatial work listed above. I have worked for 3001/NG. as a Geographic Image Analyst for the past 10 years and am currently still employed for the company. Scout Pro Productions is my “side” job. I bring the same intensity, drive, and commitment to Scout Pro as I give to 3001/NG. My time is very valuable and I use it wisely to manage the two accordingly. It is daunting at times, but that is what keeps me focused, determined, and eager to pursue my dream of becoming an experienced and well recommended Multimedia Producer.

The Drive
What can I say about where this passion for videography came from? I started out like many of my colleagues, buying that first cheap camcorder, popping in a tape, and started filming everything and anything in site! I soon crossed filming with my hunting adventures and that lead to more serious aspirations later in life. I enjoyed bringing that old Panasonic VHS-C camcorder into the duck blind with my Dad and filming him calling in a flock of ducks or filming my cousins in the pirogue hunting-up some pulldo. After the weekend of hunting was over, we all could not wait to get home to watch our “Movie!” How funny it all seems now…. we still enjoy watching those old tapes.

Scout Pro
Somewhere in between life and sleep, I managed to become self-taught in todays most sophisticated of software packages. I taught myself Adobe Photoshop from iterations 5 through the current CS4 versions, I am proficient in Adobe Premiere’s DV editing package and am currently learning Adobe’s FX package, After Effects. This is a good place to thank my Mom & Dad for believing in my passion for videography. I am a very lucky son. I have two parents who have always “Been There” for both my sister and I. They have “opened the door” for us in ways that I still can not fully comprehend. I honestly have to say that without their caring, love, & selfless ways, I would not be the man I am today nor would I “BE” where I am today! Mom, Dad……I love you guys and I will always be there for you when you need me. The fact that I am an over-achiever is the reason I have pursued my video passion as strongly as I have. I have spent countless hours educating myself on software packages, spent quite a bit of my finances on training courses, workshops, schools, books, etc. and even given up many fun and exciting times in my life to make Scout Pro Productions a reality. Although I am an entry level Multimedia Producer at the start of his adventuress career, I have already gained the most important trait that every successful company & business owner should exhibit – CONFIDENCE IN THY SELF & MY SERVICES. Confidence, time, and opportunity will make Scout Pro Productions experienced in becoming a satisfying & reputable videography service here in the great state of Louisiana!
